Essential Oils
Quality & Healing

Quality is an important consideration when purchasing or using essential oils.  You want to make sure you are using a natural, pure and true healing essential oil.  Only genuine essential oils can guarantee the anticipated healing effect.

Some essential oils are more costly due to the amount of work and process involved in making the oil.  A good example is essential oil of Jasmine.  Millions of blossoms are needed to obtain one pound of pure essential oil of jasmine. A single plant does not contain much essential oil. The blossoms are harvested during the early morning at sunrise, as the essential oil gathers in the blossom at night.  During the day, oil moves to the stalks and leaves, but these cannot be harvested because that would destroy the plant. Once the blossoms are harvested, the process of production is costly.  A less costly alternative is to buy good quality oil in a base of high quality carrier oil such as jojoba.

Essential Oils
What are they?
Essential Oils are volatile liquids derived from therapeutic plants, roots, flowers, trees & herbs. All essential oils are of natural origin and contain the odorific constituents of the plant.  Essential oils are obtained from different parts of the plant, for example: leaves, twigs, berries, bark, wood, roots, flower, fruits and rhizomes.

Essential Oils have been used for thousands of years in many parts of the world.  They have amazing therapeutic properties.  All essential oils are anti-bacterialand many of them are antiviral or possess fungicidal qualities.
